Pristiq®, a brand of the antidepressant desvenlafaxine, is a selective serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (SNRI) indicated for the treatment of major depressive disorder (MDD). How to Get Pristiq Samples
Pristiq®’s manufacturer, Pfizer, Inc., offers a variety of plans to assist patients who have difficulty affording their medicine. In addition to patient assistance programs, Pfizer has a "Pristiq® Savings Card" that allows patients to save up to $15 per month (up to $180 per year) on their Pristiq® prescriptions. Patients can register for the Pristiq® Savings Card by answering a brief questionnaire on the drug website. Patients who qualify can download a temporary card immediately. Pfizer will mail a permanent card within 7-14 days, which is valid for one year.
As with many other drug savings cards, this offer is eligible only for those patients who do not receive reimbursement from a government, state, or federally funded insurance program. The card may not be used if private insurance covers all of the medication. More information about how to qualify for the Pristiq® Savings Card can be found on their website or by calling 1-866-706-2400.
Pfizer also has other programs that help cover the cost of Pristiq®:
- Connection to Care: This program distributes free Pristiq® to patients who do not have drug insurance (or who qualify for hardship assistance), and whose households earn less than double the federal poverty level. Three months' worth of Pristiq® are sent at a time, and enrollment is valid for a year.
- Pfizer Pfriends: This is a drug savings card program open to those of all income levels with no drug insurance. The card can be used at the pharmacy to save on Pristiq®.
